After a 120 km drive along the coast of the Pacific Ocean, we will arrive at the port city of Valparaiso, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003 thanks to its unique architecture, its variety of narrow streets, its colorful passages and its staircases leading to the top of the hills. We will visit its main attractions, such as the Plaza Sotomayor, the Monument to the Naval Heroes and the Paseo 21 de Mayo, and we will ride the elevators to immerse ourselves in the hills of the city. Afterwards, we will visit Viña del Mar, known as “The Garden City”, where you can enjoy its most emblematic places, such as its beautiful beaches, gardens and pedestrian promenades. We will stop for lunch (not included) and then relax contemplating the ocean before returning to Santiago.

Chilean Patagonia is one of the most impressive and remote regions in the world, known for its rugged landscapes, towering glaciers, vast fjords, dense forests and windswept plains. Located in the extreme south of Chile, Patagonia stretches from the Lake District to Cape Horn, encompassing some of the most spectacular scenery and unspoiled wilderness on the planet.
KEY ATTRACTIONS
- Torres del Paine National Park: Declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, Torres del Paine is world famous for its rugged peaks, crystal clear lakes and extensive hiking trails. Among its emblematic places are the Three Towers, Grey Glacier and Lake Pehoé. Popular activities: trekking, wildlife watching (guanacos, pumas and condors) and kayaking.
- Puerto Natales & Punta Arenas. Puerto Natales is the gateway to Torres del Paine and offers charming lodging, adventure tours and views of the Patagonian fjords. Punta Arenas, the southernmost city in continental Chile, has historic buildings, the Strait of Magellan and nearby penguin colonies, such as Magdalena Island.
- Southern Ice Field. This huge expanse of ice is the largest non-polar ice field in the world. Visitors can explore the impressive Grey Glacier or take boat tours to view the towering ice walls.
- Carretera Austral. A scenic and remote road winding through pristine forests, glacial lakes and charming villages. The route passes through places such as Cochrane, Villa O'Higgins and Cerro Castillo.
- Chiloé´s Island Although technically just north of Patagonia, Chiloé is often associated with the region because of its unique culture and geography. The island is known for its colorful stilt houses, wooden churches (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and myths and legends.
- Fjords and glaciers. The Patagonian fjords offer incomparable beauty, with deep inlets, imposing mountains and glaciers that fall into the sea. Boat trips allow access to places such as the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers.
- Cabo de Hornos & Tierra del Fuego. This remote and windy area marks the southernmost point of Chilean Patagonia and is known for its harsh climate, rugged beauty and rich maritime history.

Guided tour of this natural park, recently recognized as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The visit will allow you to discover the most important attractions of this natural reserve and its surroundings, such as the Milodon Cave, Cerro Castillo, Laguna Amarga and the Sarmiento, Nordenskjöld, Pehoé and Grey lakes, where you can find millenary ice. The excursion begins with a first stop at the Milodon Cave, located 27 km from Puerto Natales, a walk of approximately 30 minutes. After a 45-minute tour, we will visit Cerro Castillo, a mythical estancia, where we will travel back in time and imagine the beginnings of the colonization of Patagonia. The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes. The entrance to the national park is scheduled for noon, where we will hike and have lunch in the park. After lunch in the park, we will head to Grey Lake and Glacier, which is part of the Southern Ice Field. A beautiful hike through lenga forests. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.
Breakfast at the hotel. We will begin our expedition in Puerto Natales, where we will check in to set sail on the catamaran. At the beginning of our navigation through the Señoret Channel, we will pass in front of the Frigorífico Bories National Historic Monument, a 1913 construction that stands out for its post-Victorian English-style industrial architecture. We will continue our trip until we reach Guanaco Island, where we will be able to see the beautiful Magellan dolphins, also known as toninas, a marvel not to be missed. The navigation will continue until we reach our main destination, Monte Balmaceda, from where we will be able to observe the spectacular Balmaceda Glacier. We will disembark at Puerto Toro, where, together with our guide, we will take a 1 km walk along the shore of the Témpanos Lagoon, through a low-difficulty trail. After this break, we will continue towards the Serrano Glacier, crossing a native forest of coigües, ñirres and ciruelillos, enjoying the imposing vegetation and the contrast between the sky and the sea ice. Arriving at the Serrano Glacier, we will enjoy a whisky with millenary ice, accompanied by a spectacular panoramic view of the Serrano Glacier. We will make a last stop at an estancia in Perales, where a delicious typical Patagonian lunch with roast lamb awaits us. Afterwards, we will return to Puerto Natales.
